Somni is a multi-sensory experience centered around a bespoke exhibition kitchen, where a team of more chefs that guests welcomes you to an ever-evolving tasting menu of more than 20 courses. The dining experience can be complemented with wine and non-alcoholic pairings that feature small production wines, limited bottles, and in-house creations made to mimic the body and aroma profiles of distinct Spanish and California wines. Zabala is always looking to keep things fresh and keeps a binder packed with hundreds of ideas for dishes that will push culinary boundaries.
Nestled within The Bazaar by José Andrés, Somni’s interior blends both modern and traditional features, much like the dishes on the imaginative menu. Surrounded by white marble and oak, guests are enveloped in warmth and light tones as locally crafted charger plates, clay cups, and serving trays lay before them, adding to the organic narrative. Custom-made serving vessels such as the “papyrus tree” and whimsical utensils are used to complement unexpected flavors or to juxtapose a dish’s simplicity.
