Our Chamber mixers feel like not only networking events, but more like a reservation among friends. Month after month, the same familiar faces return, new members are welcomed in, and the room starts to feel like a club where many new contacts already know your name and your business.

On October 27th, that club met on Canon Drive. By six o’clock, the piano at Mastro’s was already setting the mood, and members settled into one of the poshest rooms in the city.

The trays started circulating almost immediately. Truffle fries with Parmesan disappeared faster than they could be replaced, the spicy bigeye tuna rolls made their rounds, and the wagyu smash sliders had a loyal following within the hour. Siberian Osetra caviar on homemade chips became the unofficial gathering spot, with the charcuterie board and crudité close behind.

Drink tickets in hand, members moved between old friends and new introductions. For a few, the night didn’t end at eight, a handful of guests stayed for dinner, and the prime steaks did the rest.

Mastro’s opened in Scottsdale in 1999 under Dennis Mastro and his sons, and Canon Drive soon became its signature address. The family later launched a second group of restaurants, including Steak 48, which now has its own Beverly Hills location.
