Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce
  -  Staff Feature   -  August FAME Networking – Live DJ & Vendor Showcase

On Thursday, August 13, the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce’s FAME Committee (Fashion, Arts, Media, and Entertainment) hosted one of the summer’s most anticipated mixers: the August FAME Networking event, featuring a live DJ and a curated vendor showcase. Held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills, the evening drew 85 guests for an evening the Chamber billed as “connection, creativity, and celebration,” and it delivered on all three.

Setting the Scene

The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills, provided a sophisticated backdrop for the evening. Guests arrived to valet parking and stepped into a space designed for exactly the kind of high-energy mingling FAME events are known for. Cocktail attire and business chic set the tone, and from the first hour it was clear this wasn’t a standard after-work mixer: a live DJ kept the energy up throughout, giving the evening a genuine party atmosphere rather than the usual quiet hum of a networking room.

Food was provided throughout the evening, and a cash-and-carry bar kept guests refreshed as they moved between conversations. The combination of great music, good food, and a packed room made for an evening that felt as much like a celebration as a business event, which is very much the point of FAME’s programming: bringing together the fashion, arts, media, and entertainment community in a setting that reflects the creativity of the industries it represents.

The Vendor Showcase

A highlight of the evening was the curated vendor showcase, which gave guests the chance to meet and engage directly with local businesses spanning several creative disciplines. Spotlighted vendors included:

  • H2O Droplet showcased their offerings to a crowd eager to learn more about what the brand has to offer, sparking plenty of conversation throughout the night.
  • Lights Up Today demonstrated the lighting and production expertise that helps set the mood for events across the region, a fitting showcase given the ambiance of the evening itself.
  • Los Angeles Party DJs, fitting perfectly with the night’s live-DJ theme, gave attendees a taste of the entertainment options available for their own upcoming events.
  • SLB Photography (Shlomit Levy Bard Studio) rounded out the showcase, capturing the energy of the room while also giving guests a chance to connect with a photographer whose work spans the entertainment and events industries.
  • Beverly Hills Florist brought their signature floral artistry to the room, offering guests a look at the kind of arrangements that have made them a go-to name for events across Beverly Hills.

Each vendor brought a distinct piece of the FAME ecosystem into the room, and the showcase format meant guests weren’t just handing out business cards. They were seeing, tasting, hearing, and experiencing what these businesses actually do. That hands-on element is part of what makes FAME networking events stand out from typical Chamber mixers.

Why FAME Networking Matters

The FAME Committee exists to serve one of the most dynamic and interconnected sectors of the Beverly Hills business community: fashion, arts, media, and entertainment. These industries thrive on relationships, referrals, and the kind of face-to-face connection that’s hard to replicate over email or LinkedIn. Events like this one give members and prospective members a low-pressure, high-energy environment to build exactly those relationships.

With registration filling to capacity ahead of the event (all 85 spots were claimed before the doors opened), it’s clear the demand for this kind of programming is strong. Chamber members attended at a discounted $30 rate, non-members joined at $60, and guests using a Networking Passport attended for free, reflecting the Chamber’s continued effort to make these events accessible to newcomers exploring what membership has to offer.

Looking Ahead

Evenings like the August FAME Networking event are a reminder of what makes the Beverly Hills Chamber’s community special: a genuine mix of industries, personalities, and creative energy, brought together in spaces that match the caliber of the businesses in the room. Between the live DJ, the vendor showcase, and a packed guest list, this one set a high bar for future FAME programming.
