A monthly update from the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce

2021 is off to a busy start and we continue to advocate for the interests of our member businesses. Please see our latest updates below.

Chamber Supports One Beverly Hills Project

The Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce supports the One Beverly Hills Project, a unified vision for the western gateway to Beverly Hills. The complex will include two beautiful residential buildings, a new mixed use residential/luxury hotel building, expanded conference room space and botanical garden open to the public. The Project will also generate billions of dollars in tax revenue and money spent in Beverly Hills over the next 30 years, millions in projected property taxes, and a buy local program to support our local economy. We look forward to bringing this exciting project to the City! Read the Chamber’s letter of support here.

Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce Supports California Bill to Provide Tax Credits to Businesses

The Chamber supports California Assembly Bill 62. This bill will provide state tax credits for small and essential businesses for costs incurred in complying with California COVID-19 regulations. This bill is an important step to help struggling businesses stay afloat and to support businesses that are diligently complying with COVID-19 requirements. Chamber Expresses Concern Over New Los Angeles County District Attorney Policy

The Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce has expressed concern over a new policy by the Los Angeles County District Attorney instructing staff not to prosecute certain misdemeanors such as criminal threats and trespass. The Chamber believes that this policy fails to ensure that individuals who commit certain crimes against businesses and employees will be held accountable. Many other stakeholders throughout the region have expressed similar concerns and we look to engage in a constructive dialogue with the District Attorney on a path forward to protect companies and their workers from increased crime.
