Maria D’Auria currently serves as Director of Operations for Drago Group, overseeing six restaurants, three of which are located in Beverly Hills. She brings more than three decades of experience in hospitality, business leadership, and Italian cuisine, along with a deep passion for Italian culture and traditions.
Prior to joining Drago Group, Maria served as Managing Partner of Il Fornaio in Beverly Hills for 25 years. Her extensive experience in the hospitality industry has given her a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing local businesses.
Born in Rome, Italy, Maria began her professional career as a lawyer specializing in family and civil matters. Thirty-five years ago, she moved to Beverly Hills to support her husband’s dream of operating an Italian restaurant in the United States. She is the proud mother of two daughters, both of whom attended school in Beverly Hills and have gone on to successful careers, one as a math teacher at Venice High School and the other as a nurse at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego.
Deeply proud of her Italian heritage, Maria currently serves as Treasurer of the Italian American Chamber of Commerce West (IACCW). In this role, she helps foster connections between Italian companies seeking to expand into the United States and the local business community. She also works in connection with Italian diplomatic, trade, and cultural organizations in Los Angeles, including the Consulate General of Italy, the Italian Trade Agency, and the Italian Cultural Institute.
As a longtime Beverly Hills resident and business leader, Maria is honored to serve on the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She is passionate about supporting local businesses, strengthening connections between businesses, residents, and city officials, and contributing to a vibrant local economy.
Maria believes strongly in the power of synergy, collaboration, and community. Through her service on the Board, she looks forward to using her experience, relationships, and knowledge of the local business community to help businesses thrive and strengthen the connection between Beverly Hills businesses and the community they serve.
