Support the Gardenhouse BH Project at Upcoming April 8 Planning Commission Hearing

Gardenhouse BH is a beautiful mixed use project at 8600 Wilshire Blvd. by renowned architect Ma Yansong. The project is seeking approval to allow coffee shops, markets and exercise facilities in their ground floor space to provide flexibility in leasing the spaces and which will provide excellent amenities in this section of the City. The Chamber is supportive of the request which is an important step in revitalizing this portion of the City in advance of the future subway station.

The hearing on this request will be on April 8 at 1:30 PM before the Beverly Hills Planning Commission. Please support this project by writing the Beverly Hills Planning Commission at commentPC@beverlyhills.org.

Support the One Beverly Hills Project at Upcoming April 8 Planning Commission Hearing

The Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce supports the One Beverly Hills Project, a unified vision for the western gateway to Beverly Hills. The complex will include two beautiful residential buildings, a new mixed use residential/luxury hotel building, expanded conference room space and botanical garden open to the public. The Project will also generate billions of dollars in tax revenue and money spent in Beverly Hills over the next 30 years, millions in projected property taxes, and a buy local program to support our local economy. Read the Chamber’s letter of support here.

The Project is going for review before the Beverly Hills Planning Commission on April 8 at 7pm. Please submit letters of support to commentPC@beverlyhills.org.

Chamber Opposes California Senate Bill 62 Which Could Impose Liability on Clothing Retailers

The Chamber remains opposed to California Senate Bill 62 which could impose liability on clothing retailers and others who contract with garment manufacturers for the actions of those garment manufacturers. The Chamber is concerned that this bill could impose liability on companies who have done nothing wrong. Read our letter here. The Chamber encourages community members to write to our State Senator, Ben Allen, using this link to express opposition to this bill.
