What is the favorite thing about your job?
I not only have the unique opportunity of working hand-in-hand with some very brilliant people, but I get a chance to meet new and interesting people each and every day. This business affords me the chance to find ways to bridge the gap between the worlds of luxury and charity. I enjoy finding new opportunities for us to use our company reach to make a real difference in the world. The real reward is the look I see on peoples faces when I know we’ve touched their heart.
Where are you from originally?
On August 12th, 1976 I was brought into this world; a daughter born to Fernando and Patricia De la Pena. My father was an ex attorney and a strict educator and my mother a former Nun and current high school principal. As a result, my two sisters and I were brought up in a strict yet tight knit family that stressed the importance of education and self empowerment. I grew up in Glendale, but after meeting my husband, we decided to move to Beverly Hills to raise our family.
What are the top 3 reasons you enjoy the Beverly Hills business community:
As soon as we moved our family to Beverly Hills, it was love at first sight. As a resident of Beverly Hills my family and I live, eat, and breath this city. It is not only our home, but it is the city thats helping to raise our children and grow our business. Over the years, I’ve developed a deeper passion to be more involved with the city and its local businesses. I want to help maintain the city’s excellence and grow it towards the future. My dream is to not only be a loyal resident of the city, but also be an important part of the Beverly Hills city counsel and make a real difference.
When did you join the Board?:
I joined the Board in 2018. I’ve always been an active member of the city and always made it a priority to assist in any way I can. My passion runs deep and I’ll strive until my last breath to make this city great, not only for my family but for all the resident of Beverly Hills.
What is your favorite Chamber event?:
My favorite chamber event is easily the Best of Beverly Hills Golden Palms Award Gala. From the fabulous outfits to meeting amazing local people, I’m a girl that loves Galas! Its an amazing event that allows local business to shine and be recognized for all that they do. Its important that local businesses be acknowledged for all the contributions they do for our community.
What is the one piece of advice you would give new Chamber Members:
The one piece of advice would be to a prospective member is to follow their heart and to see things thru. All good things come to those who work hard for it because every little bit counts.
When you aren’t working for your company or the Chamber, what are your favorite pastimes?:
When I’m not working at the office or the Chamber, I enjoy riding horses and spending time with my husband and two boys.
