What is the favorite thing about your current job?

My favorite aspect of building a drink company is the rare opportunity to create next-level products for an important $100 billion worldwide industry that touches billions of lives.  Our approach to product development involves unique differentiation, stunning design, meticulous execution, and top-quality manufacturing.  We’ve found with our first two products – 9OH2O Luxury glass and 9OH2O Lifestyle plastic – that we can achieve extraordinary products and out-innovate the billion-dollar industry giants.  Consumers love of our products and exciting new opportunities roll in every day.

Where are you from originally?

I grew up in Newport Beach, California and moved to Beverly Hills during high school.  I’ve called Beverly Hills home ever since.

What are the top 3 reasons you enjoy the Beverly Hills business community?

I love the Beverly Hills community because of its boundless opportunity, unique challenges, and deep sense of community.  Beverly Hills is a small village with a global magnetism.  That makes for a unique dynamic where its 35,000 residents and thousands of businesses must strike a delicate balance of maintaining the city’s charm and livability while embracing an international audience and growing into the future.  It is exciting and fulfilling to help such a special city meet these challenges and achieve big things.  Being a Beverly Hillian means being part of a close-knit community of talented people who care deeply about their city.  As a passionate community leader, I’m proud to be helping shape the future of Beverly Hills.

When did you join the Board?

I joined Beverly Hills Chamber’s Board of Directors in January 2016.  I was honored to be asked to join the leadership team of such a distinguished organization and very much enjoy my service on the Board.  Beverly Hills Chamber has built a powerful platform for the business community and it does a great job developing innovative ways to help its members grow.  Helping businesses succeed is one of my deepest passions so being able to do so alongside a committed group of top business leaders is very rewarding.

What is your favorite Chamber event?

Beverly Hills Chamber has a very robust events program of over 200 events per year, from annual galas to monthly mixers to weekly learning sessions.  It’s difficult to pick just one favorite but my favorite type of Beverly Hills Chamber event is its signature annual events.  Beverly Hills Tomorrow at The Wallis is an impactful annual gathering of business leaders that covers fascinating forward-thinking topics through the lens of renowned speakers.  An Evening with the Mayor at Greystone Mansion is an annual collaboration with the City of Beverly Hills that brings together the civic and business communities for a special evening of connecting and visioning.  These and others are the events I most look forward to.

What is one piece of advice you would give new Chamber members?

My best piece of advice for new members is to be proactive.  While Beverly Hills Chamber provides a powerful platform, it only yields major benefit when members proactively take advantage of the many tools it provides.  Look out for the events that best suit you, then show up!  When you show up, work the room!  After the event, follow up!  When you follow up, deliver significant value!  Aside from engaging in events, Beverly Hills Chamber offers powerful avenues for advertising, learning, and even advocating to local government.  Get familiar with all Beverly Hills Chamber has to offer and then be proactive in squeezing out the full benefit of your membership!  With this proactive approach, the return on investment of a Beverly Hills Chamber membership can be exponential.

When you aren’t working for your company or the Chamber, what are your favorite pastimes?

Aside from the excitement of growing my company and helping other companies succeed, I enjoy reading and writing about leadership, politics, and technology.  I love the challenge of learning about complex areas, discovering the most important learnings, and communicating them to others in compelling ways.  The journey of discovery and sharing is a very fulfilling one that I intend to continue for the rest of my life.
