An Evening with the Mayor Highlightsseparators

Greystone Mansion set an amazing evening for Mayor Barry Brucker to deliver the State of the City Address at An Evening with the Mayor on August 17.  Mayor Barry Brucker highlighted the City’s economic strengths and identified its present challenges as well as facilitating a Q&A session with the audience after his speech.

The Mayor's speech focused on the strength of the Beverly Hills economy.  Brucker announced promising retail sales, strong hotel occupancy rates, Tishman Speyer’s purchase and plans to renovate the former Hilton headquarters, as well as MGM and Google’s plans to open offices in Beverly Hills.

In the State of the City address, the Mayor discussed what Beverly Hills is doing to be the greatest city in America. Mayor Barry Brucker stated, “Every initiative that our City Council evaluates is considered and calculated to enhance and protect our neighborhood quality of life and our City’s dynamic business climate.” Furthermore, the Mayor remarked, “Beverly Hills is a strong and vibrant community -- a place that is creative and innovative, and a place that has been supported and nurtured by the business, educational and political leaders of our community.”

Ending his speech on a high note, Brucker acknowledged how all Beverly Hills community members contribute to the City’s success. “We have so much to be grateful for in Beverly Hills,” Brucker said. “Let’s take a moment and celebrate that we live in a community where businesses don’t just survive, they thrive.”
