Board Chair Addresses Audit Report
Vicky Mense, Chair of the Board of Directors for Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, has spoken on behalf of the Board in response to the recently released results of the City-commissioned performance audit. The performance audit was welcomed by the Chamber as a useful tool to continually improve its service to the Beverly Hills business community and City of Beverly Hills.
The audit results concluded that Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce is fulfilling its contractual obligations with the City of Beverly Hills in regards to visitor marketing, economic development and licensing. The audit also affirmed the positive contribution and value the Chamber, CVB and Economic Development provide to the City and businesses of Beverly Hills. The first and most important step the audit recommends, which the Chamber supports, is the development of a consolidated strategic plan, from which decisions regarding performance measurements or organizational structures would be defined.

The City Council will discuss the performance audit results at its afternoon City Council meeting on 8.19.08. President and CEO Dan Walsh will speak on behalf of the Chamber Board and many members and Board Members will be in attendance to speak and show support to the fine work of Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce.
Government Affairs Committee Meeting - 8.21.2008
 Noah Furie, Chair, Planning Commission, City of Beverly Hills, will provide an overview of the recently released proposed draft of the General Plan.

Chad Lynn, Director of Parking Operations, City of Beverly Hills, will give an update on the parking development for the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Beverly Hills.
Anne Browning McIntosh, Interim Director of Community Development, City of Beverly Hills, will give a brief update on the City’s Proposed In-Lieu Parking Fee Increase.
