How to Make the Most out of Your Membership

1.Attend events

The Chamber produces over 150 events and programs every year just for you! We make sure that each and every one of them are geared toward optimal networking, educating, and servicing opportunities for the business community in Beverly Hills. These events are the best way to meet and network with our other members, which is why we encourage you to attend as many events as possible. As a member, you’ll always receive an exclusive member rate to all of our events. Look out for our Monday email and Monthly Events eView to stay up to date on what’s coming up – there’s usually at least a few things happening every week!

2. Use our social media platforms

While we offer advertising opportunities through our website and through eBlasts, one advantage that is complimentary to our members is promotion on our social media platforms. We will gladly post about  events, promotions, or developments regarding our members if they would like us to! Between our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, we have over tens of thousands of followers – our social media platforms alone will get you noticed! If you have anything you would like us to promote via social media, please contact either Alexandria Anderson or Candy Samareta with the photos/videos/verbiage you would like to see on the post.

3. Get involved with a committee

Because we have so many members ranging in different industries and sectors of the Beverly Hills business community, we have several committees that give attention to more specific areas of need and services to our members. Most of our committees have their own events, programs, meetings, and educational workshops. We have committees that are industry specific, such as our Health & Wellness committee and Finance, Legal, Accounting, Insurance & Real Estate (FLAIR), as well as the Military Veterans Commerce Committee (MVCC) that caters to local veterans and Young Professionals Network (YPN) that targets the younger professionals in Beverly Hills. If you are interested in the local government, we highly encourage you to check out our Government Affairs Committee, as well as Leadership PAC, which evaluates and makes endorsements of candidates for public office where appropriate. We also have committees for our larger, signature events and many more that you can get involved in! Please contact your membership representative to learn more about which committee is best for you.

4. Reach out to our staff

Don’t be a stranger! We have a total of 11 people on our staff – 8 full time, 3 part time. With over 800 members, you can imagine how challenging it can be to stay on top of everyone. Therefore we never want our members to hesitate to reach out to us first if you ever need anything from the Chamber. It is our mission to be of service to all of our members in any way that we can. Although we are small, we pride ourselves in our ability to take care of each member’s concerns – should they bring it to our attention! So if you ever need anything, please give us a call or shoot any of us an email, and help us help you!

5. Bear your Chamber member logo proudly

We get calls daily from residents asking us to recommend different businesses or services who are specifically members of this Chamber. There’s something very credible about being a member of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, and consumers in Beverly Hills recognize that! When you become a member, you have the ability to use your official “Beverly Hills Chamber Member Business” logo however you’d like. You can add your member logo to your website, marketing materials, or even in store.

6. Contact an ambassador

Our ambassadors are phenomenal and can be thought of as your big brothers and sisters at the Chamber! They are our representatives to the public and are well-versed in all of the programs, services, and benefits that the Chamber offers to our members. They come from all backgrounds and industries, and you can usually find them at several events lending us a helping hand. Our ambassadors are a great resource should you ever want a member’s perspective in navigating through the Chamber and the Beverly Hills business community. Please click here to see a list of our current ambassadors.

7. Support fellow members

The Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce is all about strengthening the local business community by maximizing connections. Nothing gives us more satisfaction than seeing our members build lasting relationships with each other, and most of our current members already have! While getting in touch with our staff is important, what is even more beneficial is connecting with your fellow members, as they are your potential business partners in the community. Therefore we highly encourage you to support our other members by getting lunch with them, taking advantage of their current promotions, and attending their events. The more support you show for others the more likely they are to support you!

8. Come to Get To Know Your Chamber

Get To Know Your Chamber is an orientation/workshop that happens the second Tuesday of every month. Here, you get to meet the Chamber staff and learn about all of the services that we provide to our members. We go over the responsibilities of each staff member, the different events and programs we produce, and the packages included in your membership. Get To Know Your Chamber is not just for new members – we encourage all new, current, and prospective members to come and get familiarized with all that we do for the Beverly Hills business community.  Don’t miss the next one!

9. Sponsor an event

Sponsoring any event, whether it’d be a monthly networking breakfast or a signature event, will guarantee that your business will be recognized by all of our guests and invitees. Not only will your company name and logo be featured on all marketing materials and online promotions of the event, but you will typically have a speaking opportunity or an honorable mention by our CEO or Board President during their speeches during the event itself. For more about sponsorship opportunities, please contact Charisse at the Chamber.

10. Make an announcement at the Networking Breakfast

Our networking breakfasts happen on the second Friday of every month, and they are still one of our most attended events. Our breakfasts are always held at some of the coolest restaurants in Beverly Hills, and you can be sure to get a really good meal that morning – no muffins here! The highlight of show – besides the food and our fantastic M.C. – is the announcements! We offer the opportunity for our guests to give a 30 second elevator pitch to introduce themselves and their business, or to inform everyone about a new promotion or event happening at work. At every  breakfast, we see close to 100 new and familiar faces, all eager to share their morning with the Chamber family, which is why the networking breakfasts are the perfect opportunity to get your name out there to our members! It’s a monthly tradition that so many of our members look forward to, and we always welcome new guests with open arms – and open ears.
