BUSINESS NEEDS TO KNOW
Business Needs To Know is a midday workshop designed to give your business the latest information necessary to compete in today’s economy. Past workshop topics have included, risk management, human resources, social media, and writing press releases. Programs are led by highly qualified instructors from Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in partnership with City of Beverly Hills.
GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE (GAC)
As the voice of business in Beverly Hills, the Chamber of Commerce advocates on behalf of the local business community through the Government Affairs Committee (GAC). This body meets the third Thursday of every month in the Chamber’s Board Room addressing issues such as urban planning, transportation, development, taxation and state and regional legislation that impact the business community.
Our FLAIR roundtable programs feature a brief educational presentation and is followed by a forum for networking and referrals within these targeted industries. You are welcome to bring your lunch with you to this complimentary event however membership of the Chamber is required.
Health & Wellness
These lunch and learns feature highly qualified physicians who cover a variety of medical topics that are a benefit to the local community. Lunch is provided. The events are complimentary for members; non-members can attend for $20.
Military Veterans Commerce Committee (MVCC)
The Military Veterans Commerce Committee’s (MVCC) mission is to support the Chamber’s veteran-owned and veteran-friendly businesses. The MVCC is committed to offering enhanced membership value by offering educational, marketing, advocacy, and networking opportunities. Educational seminars on various topics are presented quarterly and followed by networking mixers.
ASIAN BUSINESS CONNECTION
The purpose of the Asian Business Connection is to empower business to thrive in Beverly Hills as it relates to Asian based businesses with local business interests or locally based businesses with Asian business interests. Programming and services of this committee to include events, workshops, strategic partnerships and business referrals.
LEGAL LUNCH & LEARN: A BROWN BAG SERIES
The Chamber has partnered with the Beverly Hills Bar Association to present “Legal Lunch & Learn: A Brown Bag Series.” Every other month an experienced lawyer from the Lawyer Referral & Information Service (LRIS) presents on a legal subject of interest. This seminar is designed to bring valuable legal information to the Beverly Hills business community all during your lunch hour. Take advantage of a special lunch offer from a Chamber member business and enjoy lunch while learning from an experienced member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association. Past topics include: intellectual property, employment law, and tax law.
