Economic Development

One of the goals of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce is to increase the economic “pie” – to grow business for our Chamber members, and also to attract new businesses to the region. The Chamber participates in a number of activities to ensure the long term growth of Beverly Hills and Beverly Hills adjacent economies.

New York City Mission

In conjunction with the City of Beverly Hills, the Chamber organizes an annual trip to New York City to attract new business to Beverly Hills. Our trip encompasses visits to some of New York’s finest restaurants, retailers, and professional organizations, to encourage their businesses to open a branch in the City of Beverly Hills, to lend further prestige and renown for their businesses. The Chamber and City of Beverly Hills have established deep and productive relationships with businesses in Manhattan through this mission.

Mayoral Business Retention Meetings

Under the auspices of the City of Beverly Hills, the Chamber organizes a series of meetings between the Mayor of Beverly Hills and businesses to determine how the businesses are doing, what challenges they are facing, and what the City and Chamber can do to help. These meetings have helped to identify solutions for making the City of Beverly Hills an even greater place to do business.

Andy Sywak (Left), Director of Economic Development & Government Affairs at the Chamber, stands alongside former Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan (Center) and EDC Board Chair Mark Egerman (Right). Mr. Riordan spoke at the Jan. 2015 EDC luncheon.

The Chamber puts on our signature “Beverly Hills Tomorrow” event, every year, which highlights business innovation and technology issues, as well as a vision of what the City will look like in five years. Past speakers have included transportation technology CEOs, directors at national medical centers (like Cedars-Sinai Medical Center), and other leaders in innovation.
